Would you like to deepen your yoga practice in the homeland
of Yoga?
Come join the men of YOGANU for our Goa, India Retreat, March 8-
14, 2008.
On
this retreat you will deepen your yoga practice, immerse yourself
in some of Tantra's more sublime practices, and restore your body
and mind in India, the birthplace of yoga. Spend a week with Mark
feasting on fresh and delicious Indian vegetarian cuisine, swim
in the private pool or on beautiful local beaches, shop for Indian
treasures, or just sit and watch Indian life pass by.
If you are considering joining us, you should already have experience
practicing yoga. Be prepared for a week without cell phones, computers,
or room service. You will be surrounded by beauty, but there will
be no mini-bar.

What to Bring
On the first day of the retreat
you will be welcomed with an opening pooja ceremony and special
dinner.
Each day will start with fresh coffee delivered to your verandah;
there will be two yoga sessions per day. After morning practice
in the peaceful thatched yoga space, you will feast on breakfast
of fresh tropical fruit chunks, grated coconut, home made muesli,
buffalo curd and local honey.
There will also be plenty of time during the day for rest and relaxation,
when you can chill out on your verandah, by the pool, or in one
of the meditation spaces.
For those who want to venture out and explore, you may sign-up
for a variety of activities at a minimal additional fee including:
- guided tours of temples and churches
- backwater cruises
- dolphin watching tours
- classical Indian dance
- Indian cooking lessons
- auyervedic massage, consultations and lectures
- chakra healing
- shopping at local flea maket
If you prefer some solitude you can take long walks on any of the
many beautiful local beaches.
Each evening there will be a large vegetarian gourmet spread of
home cooked south Indian dishes, chutneys, salads and breads served
in the restaurant, by the pool or on the lawns.
Please note that the yoga classes will be naked but it would not
be culturally sensitive in India to be naked outside the yoga space
on the retreat at yogamagic or on local beaches.
When?
The Retreat will be from March 8 - 15, 2008.
Where?
The retreat will be held at Yogamagic a purpose built, luxury eco
yoga centre. It is based in Anjuna, North Goa about one hour from

Getting
around Goa.
Bicycle, scooter, motorbike, car, jeep, taxi or rickshaw hire can
all be arranged at Yogamagic.
Scooter or Motorbike is the most fun way of getting around but it
is not without risk. Crash helmets are not compulsory in Goa, however
due to the large number of accidents we strongly recommend it (helmets
available).
