| Goa, Massage Retreat, February 2nd-9th, 2008 |
Combine a holiday in Tropical Goa with discovering how to massage. During this fun week you will have the opportunity to discover both the wonders of Goa and your own ability to touch and be touched deeply.
The training takes place in Casa Mojo, which is my home in Goa. It is a bright, spacious modern home, with marble floor and high ceilings. The actual training will take place on a private terrace each evening. There are a range of accommodation options ranging from small single rooms with shared bathroom with large double rooms, with private terrace and own bathroom.
Massage is the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, muscles, tendons and ligaments, yet it is so much more than this. On an emotional level, massage can touch you at your very core, helping you to experience deep feelings. On a spiritual level it can give you the experience of remembering who you really are, helping you to connect with your own body.
During the week, you will be taught a full body massage sequence to relax and rejuvenate the body. You will be introduced to different schools of massage (Swedish, Ayurvedic and Thai) and different styles (energising and relaxing). A comprehensive set of notes will accompany the training. There will be 4 x 3 hour training sessions, during the week, giving lots of time to practice in between.
